Laney Reiter is the Founder of Wildside Unlimited. Working with large exotic animals, she started questioning the techniques used on the family pet. (I.e. choke collars, pinch collars, etc.), Laney wanted to know why she was working with animals considered dangerous using positive reinforcement, but “man’s best friend” was being shocked and choked down the street. That was the start of Wildside Unlimited.
Today there are many gentle options. Online courses by dog trainers that specialize in dog sports, manners, potty training, free DIY YouTube channels, blogs, and your local dog trainers. The dog training industry is changing and pet owners are demanding positive solutions.
Even so, nothing compares to Wildside Unlimited. Laney Reiter, Owner and Expert Animal Behaviorist, started her training career in 1990. Although Wildside Unlimited focuses it's training expertise on the family pet, Laney's vast experience includes dolphins, killer whales, big cats, primates, falconry, reptiles and more. Her approach is based on force-free training, which means that you will learn to communicate with your pet through positive reinforcement, teaching them to make good choices.
